1st of all, i hope no-one was badly injured here. Looks like quite a heavy impact, just missed the door bars though.

Plenty of spares in there, Zender rear spoiler..i believe?

Very low miles too!

Yes, I noticed that one too. Looks like it's gone sideways into a tree or some other immoveable object.

I do wish these scrappers would put covers over the wrecks though, so that the (valuable) interiors aren't totally ruined. What price a bit of polythene ? rolleyes

Quite right about the covering of dmaaged cars, I inspected total losses for 20 years and could never understand why even the most expensive models would be left out with windows down, sunroofs open etc..

In the meantime Douglas Valley want £750 for what is essentially an SD1 engine with unwarranted mileage (they claim 7,500 miles but can't warranty that) which seems expensive when compared to ebay.

It hurts real bad when you know what they paid for the car under cat B!

Regards

Mark

Forgot to mention, the rear spoiler is a zender, it's identical to mine, in fact the whole car is identical to mine, colour, everything apart from the dent on the door. But mine is a 1988 model.

Simpsons near York (where I live) is a huge place which go about things the right way...which is probably why they are so successful.

Virtually everything under cover in a vast building, and parts stripped off the no-hoper wrecks, shelved and labelled.

Thought it was, don't see so many of them.

Tis a shame this car met such a nasty (immovable by the looks) object.

Are we really to believe that it's only done 7450 miles.. in 18 years??

Interesting to see just how well the Wedge has coped with a side impact. I'm not so sure that a Griff or Chim owner would have been as well protected as their doors didn't have the same sort of scaffolding in them as the Weedges had.

hehe
The pic would be early eighties.
That one was the last in the line of the many Cortys I owned...a 2.0 GL,
which I used as a load carrier for my shop. Still going strong when I sold her at auction, to be replaced by a new Peugeot diesel (which ran for over 300,000 miles ! ).

I'm still on the lookout for a MK3 2000GXL...just nostalgia. smile

Here's one I built (a lot) earlier:

Customised tinas were viewed with suspicion at the time...hence the daft price, as well as me being useless at selling cars. I'd used it for work and done 20,000 miles in it since the conversion.
Only the odd rear axle needing replacement. smile

Of course you could have paid more for for the exciting Allegro above.hehe
