Can anybody confirm what the original side repeaters are from, what colour lenses they had and give me some dimensions of exactly where they were fitted on the wing?

Having looked at pictures of other cars, it looks like the lense is positioned square to the ground rather than following the line on the wing, can anybody confirm that?

...and square to the ground.

350 ones are Ford. As fitted to most of the range at the time. Capri 'tina etc. Colour orange. I can have a measure this evening if you like.

Hi Leo - Thanks, a few measurements would be great if you get a chance! I have non standard ones fitted and have a chance now to change them over.

Mine measures 12.5 inches back from the rubber trim for the bumper and 2 inches below the horizontal line along the top of the wing. Measurements are to the center of the bulb housing. I'll be surprised if any two Wedges are the same though LOL.

umm not sure why you want the original ones on I think they are one thing that spoils the car.
I've put smoked Focus RS ones on and the suit the car much better.

Agree. Have the alternative stuff as well, but not yet on the wedge.
Also looking at the front indicators (cracked and to be replaced for the next MOT) to get an arrangement flush with the bumper as per 400 etc. Idea is some perspex with led-lights for example.

A recent Renault has wedge shaped repeaters which might be more in keeping... Can't remember which model though.

Car is now parked up in garage for the winter, I have got the side repeaters from a scrappy, looking at the way they clip into a relatively thin steel wing, does anybody know if they go in the same way on the wedge? I am a bit concerned that the fibre glass may be too think for them and wonder if they have there own way of attaching on a wedge?

Whilst I also think that the focus shaped repeaters might look better, my car is still original in appearance, and the purpose of changing from what I had is to get it closer to original! Its the old original v's improved arguement, my personal view is make it look original from the outside and modify/improve the mechanical bits underneath!

Leo, is the measurement you meantioned from the back of the rubber seal?

Yes, though it was only a quick measurement. If you want an accurate measurement with photos let me know when you need it by as the car is trapped behind a cement mixer and half a pallet of concrete blocks. The final parts of the super garage! I've got a power floated floor drying out and getting ready for the epoxy coating if you're still able to hook me up with paint supply?

ETA. I only measured one side. Who knows what the other will be like LOL.

Hi Leo, glad the garage is taking shape, what finish did you leave on the concrete? Your timing is perfect about to clear out some out of shelf life material which I cant sell but should be fine! May be able to give you a variety of floors/colours!

It's been powerfloated but not too smooth. I'm intending on leaving it six months to dry out completely (or less if appropriate) then acid etch prior to applying the epoxy system. I'm not particular about colour so long as it's reasonably light and enough to cover 47m square with enough coats.
