Been contacted by someone looking to buy a nice wedge..
but he is actally a little frustrated by the lack of cars for sale.

There are currently only 8 wedges for sale on PH.. just 8.

There must be many more than that - I can only guess that PH now sends out an expiry email - if you do not respond then the ad is removed - presumed sold or vehicle is no longer for sale.

So - check you ad is still there..

There are buyers out there with a lack of cars to look at..

I would imagine that in the present market conditions (and time of year) a lot of Wedgers have tucked them up for winter, and unless they really need the cash, simply don't wish to part with their cars for peanuts.

Maybe one advantage of not having half your worldly worth tied up in one vehicle.

It's not much fun taking tyrekickers on joyrides in December either.

Thanks for pointing that out. I just checkd the For Sale and see that mine is missing - no e-mail or message of any type from PH and there it is....gone!

Maybe, like me, the Wedge owners are so pleased with their cars that they just don't want to sell them!!

I really think you're right. smile

If there were lots being broken there'd be spares advertised all over the place, and don't seem to be.

I'm just gradually getting mine minted up now, as I can't think of anything comparable that could replace it.

No I would be have to be very hard pushed to sell mine, but I can understand that sometimes things can get tuff and you have no choicesonar

Looks like mine maybe up for sale in the new year.

Looking at setting up on my own and the money i have tied up in the wedge has the least impact on the family and so on.

All other options will be considered before i put the beast up for sale mind you.

Well mines still there but thanks for the heads up Rev, it did disappear before without me noticing.

Realistically I'm expecting to keep mine until spring next year, certainly not giving her away for Christmas

In the current climate a well maintained wedge offers great value - people should be snapping them up - perhaps an article in one of the classic mags is called for together with a copy of the original Car magazine roadtest on the 350i - caused me to buy one and the rest - as they say - is history

I think wedges have been good value for years - bang for buck they are cheap (well relatively!) easy to work on and great fun.

I had my silver one in a classic mag a year or two ago - I hope it encouraged sales a bit, although I missed out on selling mine. I took the chap out in the 400SX too - tee hee!

Would be the last option as i love the SX.

But i am ready to take the plunge next year and set up on my own.

Wedgedom is a big part of my life, and all the cars i have seen truly make the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. So once i have the prospective business up and running another wedge would be on the "must do again list".

As stated all avenues would be lokked into before parting with the SX.
