I am about to remove the doors to replace the bushes, can any one tell me the procedure as it seems you cannot just pull the main runner bolt out?

Remove panel, window down, undo lectric plugs, undo bolts holding door lock mechanism slide door off the centre support.

Bushes are nylon so no petrolem grease.
Check the bicycle type things that regulate the window height while you are in there.

I'm sure someone can add to this.

Not really important, but when the door panels are off on a wedge the interior lights remain on because the the switches op on the panels unlike most other cars which op on the door itself. It can drain the battery if you stretch out the job over a few days.
So remember to switch em off. (I didn't)

You will probably need to remove the window glass and regulator as the plate (attached to the door reinforcement bars) to which the door release mech is bolted wont go past the glass as you slide the door shell off.

Been there! If youre only going to do the bushes, you may be able to do them without stripping the door. Still, its always worth taking bits apart, cleaning, painting and putting them back together again with nice shiny stainless nuts bolts and washers... Maybe Im just sad...

I think the original question was not how to get the doors off per se, but how to remove the long pivot bolt!

You have two options: unbolt the door hinge plates from the A-post, take the whole door off and extract the pivot upwards... OR... slide the door off it's frame (as above), take the sill cover off, jack the car up (a long way) and remove the pivot downwards. The first way doesn't need the door stripping though you'll have to extract any wires that feed the mirrors, windows, speakers etc.
