I know we love our Wedges, but....they're having a laugh.

When I needed an engine for my 350, they quoted me £900 for one out of a car they were breaking!

I could buy a low mileage 4.6 RV8 for less than that!

Jokers.

I'm going to offer them my car to break for spares....only asking 10 grand, which should leave them a good profit. hehe

You've been ripped, they quoted me only £700, what a bargain for an SD1 engine with TVR badges! They said it was low mileage and when I asked for proof they said the alternator was shiny. Well my head is shiny but that doesn't mean I'm low mileage!

I have not been happy with my dealings with Steptoe & Son but maybe I've just been unlucky.

I can confirm that wedges are not selling, or at least mine hasn't yet at £3,250. A newbie came round today but all he's prepared to offer is £2,500. Maybe I should wait until the sun comes out, but then I won't want to sell it. Or should I break it for spares - engine £900, gearbox £500, OZ alloys £350, bonnet £300, front end with lights £500 ( go on Steptoe you know you want one! ), hey I'm getting into profit, rear axle assy £500, rear end chop £450, bootlid £200, cigar lighter £50, doors £250 each (nearly forgot), good chassis £850, front brakes £200, I can buy myself a decent T350 now.....

Regards

Mark

Do Cerbera wheels fit a Wedge then? As I was told they wouldn't.

ETA. Found some cheap OZ Saturns on ebay, but a bit of a search has revealed that they will fit but the nuts won't be properly seated, so will work loose resulting in the wheels falling off. Not good.

wink
