There are some nut-jobs out there!

Ive just seen a Lucas dizzy cap for over 40 quid - it appears to be the same lucas model as I have seen for 15 quid?

Is the extra 30 quid buying anything?!?

I think there is Lucas and Lucas. Lucas original and Lucas now which are cheap crappy ones in Lucas boxes. Found out the hard way with rotor arms. ££20 for a proper Lucas one and about £6 for a Lucas one (Lucas box but cheap pattern). After 3 or 4 chheap patterns (which were returned) bought a real one which solved the missing issues. Now got 5 or 6 spares for the future - not cheap but worth it.

Cheers, FFG. So are the "proper" lucas ones New Old Stock, or are they still in manufacture?

I'm more tempted to spend the cash if its a proper part (and a bit annoyed that Lucas cant sort their lives out), but how do you know if its mail order (as all of these damn things are...)?
