Asked on here not that long ago as to what it came from and appears to be TVR special.

Would also like one, as my thread is knackered !

The spline & threaded bit is Ford derived. The remainder of the driveshaft is TVR but if you get hold of a spline and send it to Proptech they will build you a nice shiny new one for reasonable money.

Ok Dave, are the 350 units large UJ version...Leo is the Proptech version a cut and weld job.

I have a customer that would deal direct.
Adrian@
Yes.
They cut the stub off of the old shafts and use that to make new uprated shafts with enormous ujs. Use the search. I posted their contact detail before.

Spoke to Proptech and its a no go there...I suspect that with the fact that this is the top wishbone (as such) and there is no room for error, there is drive torque, brake torque, compression and tension involved.
Adrian@
Can you expand on exactly what you asked for and what reasons they gave for not doing it?
A few years ago (iirc 5) I took my mullered driveshafts to them and they did an expert job of making me some new uprated ones from the old stubs.

Are we talking about the same company?

Given that I already sell uprated drive shafts for other model TVR's..I spoke to my current people about a way forward and the technical side of the job of joining the stub to the larger yoke, then spoke to Proptech, who were helpful, as such, they never said they had already done the job. We talked about a minimum productions run and not much more to say.
