Hey All,
For those of you who have not been looking at the wedge R/C car thread, i am looking for some drawings of the wedge, ideally blueprint diagrams.
Are there any avaliable of the 400se?
Cheers,
Matt Man
Isn't there a line drawing with measurements in the driver's handbook ? For those of you who have not been looking at the wedge R/C car thread, i am looking for some drawings of the wedge, ideally blueprint diagrams.

If you get stuck I do have original drafting for a 390; but it is very large, so I don't know how I can get it scanned. It is out in my studio, and is snowed in at present, so it wouldn't be for a few days... let me know.
Do you know any architects. They would know where to get a large drawing scanned. I would love a get a copy if you do get it scanned.leorest said:

Be careful of the copy shops with large drawings (A1+) - you can sometimes get 5 - 10% 'stretch' on the drawing in one axis... Been there, done that!
Best bet is a good set of photos imported into CAD and 'traced' then scaled - I have done this many times with a surprisingly good degree of accuracy.

Yes I've been there too - it happens if the feed wheels slip when the original is going through the scanner.Compare any copies carefully with the originals.
Autocar or Motor magazines (maybe others too) may have carried out road tests on Wedges - they usually had drawings of the cars next to the tech info - side/front/rear - possibly also overhead; complete with measurements.
Alternatively, scale up from a known size, such as wheels, to create a representation from photographs. Some good quality full size replicas have been produced using this method.
