Another New Wedge Owner!

Hi

I've been thinking of getting a Wedge for a while and have finally bitten the bullet and bought a 390SE.

I've only had it since the weekend so I expect I may have some questions in the future.

God thats a very nice wedge ... I love that colour , did you get the stainless specially made fitting that goes on instead of the silencer , you should have as I sold it with the car to a previous owner. When fitted it makes the most evil crackling/popping/thunderclap noise and flames ! 125db's at the last count !

Yes I've got it and am looking forward to fitting it to see what it sounds like. Neighbours might not like it though.

Can you tell us on here the first run out with ' that ' sound system , initially I found it very wicked indeed , but could never put the silencer back on ever !

I bet you didn't try and get it MOT'd like that.

I modified my 3000S by completely removing the front box and modifying the 2 rear ones so that it had straight through exhausts but still looked like it had the normal rear boxes on. Problem is it failed the MOT on the exhaust being too loud and I also got stopped by the police, after refitting them after the MOT, but only got a warning. They were also a bit annoying on a long run so I've still got 2 small rear boxes on but I do miss the pops & bangs on the overrun. Still quite loud though

I will certainly give your mod a try later in the year.

That colour combination was what got me looking at Wedges when I was looking for something
Couldn't find one when I had decided though

I must admit I really like the colour too. Not sure exactly what colour it is though.

I stood next to that car at BBWF 2007 during its attempt at the sound-off. I had to back away when I felt my lungs bouncing off my ribcage from the noise...

I can vouch for the 125dB. I was looking over the shoulder of the guy holding the meter wondering if my fingers were the only thing stopping my ears bleeding...

NO SPOILER!!!! YEAH BABY!!!

The colour (its the same as mine) is Audi Oceanic Blue, bit of a tough one to find paint for it but is possible...
