waveyHi again wedgers, has anyone replaced the rubber strip around the front valance area of a 1988 era 350i.It only appears to be stuck on but travels across the front just in front of the head light pods and drops down and round above the air intake scoop. If i decide on a respray then it'll have to come off but it would be nice to fit a new piece,ta:

Hi John, i've got a 350i, 89 and had the front spoiler done on mine. What the lads [that sprayed the car] told me that they had bolted the spoiler and bumper together and put the rubber seal on last. PS -- dont no if they stuck it on or tucked it in, but looks good..
Cheers john...

It's something like SRS1890 or 1913 http://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/bbCMS/shopping.asp?in...
but you destroy it when removing the bumper. At the very least stick it to the bumber only and overlap it at the rear by 1mm.
It's probably best to use AEN1,2 or 3 and stick it to the valance only, or both of the above ideas.

Or you could graft the bumper to the body seal the gap with fibre glass and paint it.
