The one with 18" alloys and no spoiler...it looks gorgeous. Anyone know anything about it?

laugh Loving that quote with the smilie. Makes a change from the usual "sensible" words of advice people give on forums.

Mind you, I think you have a point. I fear that if I was to buy a 350i, no matter how good condition and cheap, I would always think that I should have held off for a 390 or 400.

A good point. I started Wedge ownership with a 350i which i sunk a quite considerable amount of money into. It was advice on here around 5 years ago (yikes) when somebody said if the car is being used as a high day & holiday car? It was but i yearned for a 400, which i should have done in the 1st place.
I'm not knocking the 350 as it was a lovely intro to the world of TVR.
ask yourself..is it a 400 you want 1st?
I think on average people in the Wedge world start with a 350i, and move up progressively. I followed in this way, as i've had:

350i, '88
400SE' '90
400SE, '91
Chimaera,
450 SEAC, 90

It's not compulsory though, best buy the best you can, either 350 or 400.
TBH, if i was in your shoes i would be huning down a 400.

Buy the NOISIEST, FASTEST one, but failing that, buy the cheapest, prettiest one and shove an outrageous engine in it... Then, ENJOY!
