400 se door barrel

i need to remove the barrel out of the door handle.ive had a look inside the door and it looks as if you have to take the handle completely out is this correct?to do this it looks like i will have to remove the glass to get at the one fixing is this an easy job or is there another way to do it.cheers ian

If the dropglass is in the fully upright position, you should be able to remove the door handle and lock.
There are 2 screws which hold the handle in place and there are also a few connecting rods which you will have to move out of the way, but in anycase, you don't have to remove the drop glass.
