Trumpet Surprise....

This afternoon I decided to have the plenum off the 400 to see if I could find out why the idle speed was all over the shop, it been a good afternoon as firstly I discovered set of ACT Carbon trumpets hiding in the plenum

Plus I think I've sussed the idle speed problem - Air leaks around the servo take off and the via the rubber hoses connected to metal throttle body bypass tube, a couple (OK half a dozen) new clips and the idle speed dropped significantly and it's now stable.

Worth taking the afternoon off

I taxed mine this afternoon. Woot. Im back on the road in the Tiv, I smell of exhaust fumes and it was GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.

Aw gawd, Im now considering pouring some extra beans into it. Mmmmm, 5 litres...

Maybe I make sure the 3.9 has no more power to give first.

Well, depending on hols, I was going to be there anyway, along with Trickie Dickie's 400.

Only about 10 miles from me hehehe.

I'm already having bad dreams about missed gear changes and snapped drive shafts.
