Interesting - Mundano brake calipers, I wonder if they are a drop-in replacement for the Cortina/Granny ones?

Ummm I wonder how he changed the rear to A-Frame from trailing arm.

shame they have changed the Reg's as it would a good TVR Challenge car.

It would still make a good challenge car Leigh. Just because it wouldnt front run in class doesn't make it a none starter if the price were right. Always someone to race in the field!

As in http://www.zyworld.com/caprisport/1_brakes.htm

Me not like - I've had bad experiences with single piston floating calipers.

Looks like Tasmania's old chassis.
He used to be a regular on here and was building a competition Wedge. Think he sold chassis, engine and body seperate.

Yep, definately Tas's old chassis. If I remember correctly it was fully rose jointed with coil overs. Should be a good car!

Anyone got any more info on this chassis? I've looked but I can't find a build thread.

Sorry no further info and records will have timed out. Hopefully someone else may turn up something. Tas' had access to pro' workshop facilities and owned many Wedges and 'parts of' over the years, I guess he had the A frame parts and simply changed / welded the chassis. The body was going to be a SEAC style.
If anyones seriously interested try contacting 'Tasmania' via PH, he is still listed.

Excellent I'll try and get hold of Tas then. In the meantime what kind of difference could I expect with an a-frame as opposed to trailing arms? Is it likely to be less-useable day to day, and will some wedge charactaristics be lost?

ETA:
I'm quite interested in this, and if I could persuade anyone locally to have a look at this for me that would be excellent. I'm working this weekend otherwise I'd be up there myself, will owe a pint or two if someone could check it out for me.

Thanks,
Chris

TBH if I was looking for one at the moment this is one of those rare occasions where I would be happy to buy blind so to speak. As long as the docs are present & correct. yes

I'm trying not to look at it...hehe
