Good spot Wyn, I have dealt with the seller Andreas (wotland) in the past and he is a great guy to deal with, those bits are worth an awful lot more than the asking price.

I'm tempted to fit one to the racer, esp now I have to run in B.

Well I have an Eton charger in the kitchen, just need to check what model it is.

Was wondering if I could replace the whole plenum, and just have it direct and have the throttle before the charger, and fit water/methanol cooling. Esp as the Racer has less room than most.

Dammit...just bought my boy ANOTHER highly expensive electric guitar yesterday too. banghead

Knowing my luck I'd bolt it on the wrong way round and suck all me engine internals out. rofl

Is that AFM a flapper then ? Mine's a 5AM.

Definitely worth further investigation though...Sprintex ? scratchchin

Do you need to alter compression ratio ?

I'm not so sure it would go well with my 11:1 compression ratio frown

According to some paperwork i have on my SX the compression ratio is reduced to 9.5:1.

Think your cam overlap would have an adverse affect too. frown

Hi Rob, out of interest do you know how much boost your Sprintex makes?
Considering having a new nose wheel milled up for the charger, to run a bit more boost, most literature suggests that 7psi is about the limit for a standard bottom end.

I think the later Wedges are no more than that anyway, aren't they ? smile

Also I've seen my current cam (218) being specced for s/c use. scratchchin

Superchargers are OK with high lift cams, they dont like big overlaps as they just end up blowing boost down the exhaust.
Most Wedges should have a 9.75-1 compression ratio, using composite head gaskests can bring that down to around 9.2-1.
It is generally thought that the Land/Rangerover block is good for supercharging due to the low compression ratio of 8.75-1
You can get caught up in all sorts of figures and worries when considering forced induction, but the only way to find out if it's a good idea is to bite the bullet and fit one........and feel the torque! 308lbs of torque on my 3.5L and thats available for most of the useable rev range.

The only reference i can see in the info i have is "6psi or so"

I'm sure the 400SE had quite high compression ratio. esp with there special copper ringed Head Gaskets, and Cosworth pistons.
That's also why they can be prone to pinking.
