Anyone of you personally used Lepsons to refurb their OZ splitties?

I want a better than new finish if that's possible biggrin

Leigh, 'm still waiting to hear back from you if you're able to source stainless bolts at less that 70p.

Is there a rubber seal in between the iner and outer rims?

Are they OK to be reused or do I need to source replacements?

Thanks.

Just found this stainless fastener kit:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BBS-BMW-Style-5-Split-Rim-st...

Just add the item number into your ePay advanced search box if your browser does not wrap the above.

Price seems OK and there'll be some leftovers.

Hi Guys,

Previous posters on this subject have stated that the OZ's are in fact M7's.

Leigh, you were going to look into a less expensive source of the originals but I I never heard back?

However, if you can get this style and save a few bob then as long as they're stainless 'I'm in'.

Drop me a pm if you like as I'm impaitient at looking at my poor condition wheels.

Thanks.

I'm local to Lepsons, and when I spoke to them 3 or 4 years back about refurbing mine, they wouldn't. Aside from anything else, they don't have the tools to split them.

There is no rubber seal - silicone is used

These wheels are fragile and I would be amazed if they are true - they normally need straightening

IMHO never have them laquered

OK on sealant & no laquer.

This place state they work with splits and they're 30 minutes away from me:

I was going to get my stock 8.5" wheels refurbed until I can find some taller wheels that I like. Rather than lacquer or polished outer rims there are various powder coat chrome finishes available which should contrast well with the silver centres.

Ordered the Steve Heath tie rods to give me a little more clearance for a later upgrade in tyre width.
