headlamp problem

i have a problem with one of my headlights, they work fine when swiched on but when turned off only one dropped down, the other stayed up but when i looked out of the window later it was half way down until it eventually dropped right down. this must have taken about 3 hours does anyone know where to start looking for the problem

i had the same happen to me a couple of years ago quite a few times, it dissapeared when i had lights out for repair to spoiler and cleaned up all the connections so it might be something to do with dirty contacts.

thanks for your help, seems to be ok now but more likely to be an intermitant problem so will have to wait and see
