Mine should be half decent by Christmas, hopefully with a new hood and all niggles sorted etc......

That's when I intend to sell and 'downgrade' to a Chimeara

Seconded regarding the white one from driven image, its a total dog. The advert suggests a year's MOT and it is a total lie. Test drove it and it stuttered to a halt after 300 metre. I have never driven a car that was for sale that was that bad!

The black ebay advert linked to is a total bargain wink however my house mate bought it today!! Couple of small issues but the seller made these very clear. Keep looking as there are some very genuine wedges out there. After driving his today I want one as well!!

I DO NOT APPRECIATE MY COMPANY BEING REFERED TO AS LIERS>

Why would the fact that we are selling the car be a total lie ? I think the fact that you wanted rediculous discount on the car and the fact we said we would discount the car if taken without an MOT would be a quite simple thing to understand ? The car was a cheap car priced to sell as it isnt the best in the world but you get what you pay for. If you want a perfect example put you hand in your pocket and dig a little deeper !

Well, good to see that you've sold it now. smile

'Stunning condition' Wedges are hard to find, and bound to attract prospective purchasers from far and wide.

I am surprised that the (possibly) libellous comments above were not deleted by the mods though.

Quite a difference of opinion from total dog to stunning condition though. http://www.drivenimage.co.uk/driven_image/web_page...

We traveled 4HRS with a trailer to look at the car, the chap knew we were coming down and still didn't bother charging it up [may-be it would'nt start] with it's electrical problem and oil on the floor then the damp smell whitch must be from the heating system as the car has been sitting inside for a year [from what i've heard] and as far as condition go's it wasn't stunning. I don't even think it would make it to a MOT centre.
So being honest to my friend in the first place, he would have knew what he was coming to, then haggled with price then trailered it up the road.
PS - the car did look top dog in the pictures [must have been when you first bought it]... unhappy would be buyer..
PPS -- Normally wedges sell within a month,not a whole year !!!

Car dealers are going to have to try harder in the present climate. smile

The word 'stunning' is just soooo over-used and thus rendered meaningless.

You really mustn't intimate that people are 'liers', whatever that is. hehe

I find it particularly disappointing the rather low level of education that so many car dealers (and even mechanics) exhibit - especially those trading in sports and classic cars. I refer to not just general knowledge, literacy, spelling, and ability to hold a meaningful conversation, but to poor knowledge of the cars themselves.

I cannot refer to any personal experience of the dealer mentioned on this thread, but dealers in general deserve a good amount of the criticism levelled at them.

It seems we are moving back towards the good old bad old days of 'good runner mate' and 'that's a clean car - a very clean car', or 'a genuine motor' - and then back to the back pages of The Sun to pick the 3:30 at Kempton. There appear to be more 'spiv' type individuals in classic motor dealing now than for many years, when most of these characters couldn't even sell a pair of nylons to the finest legs around. It would probably be best for them to go back to dealing in fags and stuff 'off the back of a lorry'.

As with any service business, the care and attention that you give your customers shows in the end.

Psst guv! Wanna buy a Wedge?
