Hi, just bought some 16" Oz Saturns off a Cerb to fit having finished a rear end rebuild. I've seen a few people have them fitted but i've got the following problems:

Are you using spacers on the rear? The offset difference puts them so close to the tie bars on my car you couldn't get a fag paper between the bar and the tyre - which I don't reacon is good, especially with new tyres! I think Steves rose jointed bars would give me more clearance?

They have a massive centre bore, and I'm stuggling to find spigot rings of the right size at a sensible price - what have other people done?

Cheers every one.

Don't the holes have to be machined as the centres are different. scratchchin Otherwise when you do your nuts up there will be stress on the studs.

Adam Quantrill has them on his 400SX, he'll explain. yes

Hi carbonwedge. I went to see a 350i the other day that had cerb wheels fitted they did look the business, however, the stud PCD on the cerb is different to the wedge. I think the wedge is 112 mm and the cerb is 114.3 mm. This can be overcome using wobbly nuts which as far as i can tell are wheel nuts with tapered washers that have an oversized hole in them (the washers not the nuts) these allow the wheel stud to be off centre by 1.15 mm in the stud hole and eliminates the side load/ bending moment that would be induced in the studs if the standard nuts were used. On the car I went to see i did not notice any suspension clearance issues and not having the wheels off could not comment on whether the centre location boss is the same size, very important that the certreing boss is the correct size. The wobbly nuts are avaiable on ebay. You need to look under wobbly bolts and one of the companies selling these also sells wobbly nuts at about £40 for 20 plus P&P. Terence

Thanks guys, I already have the wobbly bolts to take up the PCD difference, it's the hub centering I need to sort out, because at the moment the hub centre is much smaller than the centre bore of the new wheel, so the studs are taking all of the weight. I've been told about £70 for foour spigot rings to adapt it, but I think I can get them made cheaper, wondered if anyone else has bought some cheaper before?!

Its about 12 mm. The other point to check is that it clears the fuel tank.

Thanks Steve, your right, that is a bit to close for comfort! Looks like I need some spacers made up.
