Does anyone know roughly what the ride height of the rolling chassis of a 350i would be without the body or engine fitted. My rolling chassis sits lower at the back end (some 50mm less) than the front when I stand on the rear end. There is very little movement in the front if you stand on the chassis. I've got the koni's as tight as they will go but still looks a littele odd.

Not sure but I think when you put the lump in it will sort itself so there is not much use in trying to figure it out at this point.

I'm just a bit concerned that the rear end is too soft as its much easier to correct problems now - without the body fitted

The adjustable coilovers (if you went with them) should allow enough adjustment to dial it in. When I replaced mine the initial setting was too hard and I needed to soften it up a fair amount to have any ride quality whatsoever. The rear appears to be just a hair lower than the front when it is all said and done.

Agreed....front will be way up in the air without the engine.

Only makes sense checking when the car is fully fitted out and ready for the road.

Hi Pilot

I wouldnt be to bothered what the static ride hight is at the moment, wait until the car is back togeather with full runing weight anbd then you will be able to see what the ride hight is like.
My car is up in the air at the moment at the engine is out.

Agreed on the hardness issue with the coilovers.
