350i door panels

Did these come with any speakers in as standard ?

I think the speakers had moved behind the seats by the 350i (but someone will tell me differently). As I understand it, the problem was that the doors are designed to let water inside ... which did the speaker cones no good at all! - Streaky

As Streaky said the speakers are in the panel just behind your shoulder.

Thanks I had three in one panel (one disconnected)

Any tips on how to repair the holes cut (I am having the vinyl retrimmed)

Mine has had them retrofitted to the doors so they do just about fit. They have some polythene behind them to stop them getting wet but this will not help the sound much (not that you can hear much over the engine anyway!)
I wouldn't have bothered putting them there myself.
