Opening the boot

Does anyone know how I can open the boot on my shell? it has no interior or switchgear fitted and no battery - although I do have a 12V lead acid battery at hand. Any ideas on which wires etc might do the job?

I've tried for hours to PM you the method so you can have a look today, but the PH gremlins on the Wedge forum are at work
