Stripping the rear end of the car (what a nightmare job!) and I've discovered one of my tie bars is fairly bent.

Any idea as to where I can find a replacement? Are they handed? And are there variances in the sizes?

Is it going to be easier to replace both or something?

Thanks,
Chris

Steve Heath does some excellent adjustable ones, about £80 the pair plus the dreaded.

Bent rear tie bars are quite common on A frame Wedges. Why not fit a pair of Steve Heath rear bars which come complete with sperical bearings. I used some on my 350se and recommend them

Are the Steve Heath ones only for A frames? Mine's a trailing arm.

Yes they are for A frames. The trailing arm cars didn't have a tie bar but a lower link. However, a lot of people retrofitted a tie bar. So a piccy might help me see if I can mod an A frame tie bar as a replacement.

Cheers Steve, I'll try and post some pictures later.

Are the lower links shared with ford cortinas or anything?

Okay lower link seems replaceable at a decent price (although why are scrap prices through the roof on these???). Does anyone know if the bushes on these are the same as on a ford cortina or anything? I'm just trying to save a few £s where possible.

Thanks,
Chris
