Arrrggghh

Driving Wedge all weekend with no issues, even polished her yikes

Then go to start this morning, and all I get is click frown

Try bumping on my own in gear , but not manage to kick back into life frown

Had no handy hammer to whack the starter, so probably need to get under her later and whack or look in shed for the spare starter and shed some skin smile

Is it not just a flat battery? I'd try jump starting it before tackling the starter motor.

Sounds like a fat battery to me ... check you have not left the interior light on or the radio..

Check the voltage - should be 12.3 ~ 12.8

Could also be a dodgy connection. Disconnected my battery and had 50 ohms between the battery lead and the post it is bolted to on the starter AND a HR earth to the block. The terminal was nice and tight on the starter. I cleaned it up and it was fine.

Hey Paul,

I get this on mine every now and then, mainly cold crank.

As the guys say, its either a flat battery (which you say it isn't) so try the connection on the starter next as im pretty certain that will fix it...

Also, try giving it a few goes (when it clicks) as mine usually sorts itself out. Be careful not to turn and hold though as the fuel pump starts on crank and will flood it!

yeah may be a lead issue as the last one got burnt by the exhaust

Hoped the heatprove wrapping had resolved that issue.

Nice healthy fuel pump noise smile

Can't be bothered to look tonight, so will try again tomorrow

There could be a problem with the solenoid sticking, worth looking at getting a spare unit

It runs again

Twas strange as you could hear the solonoid click, but was in fact a loose starter wire (thin one) Recrimped and tightened the main feed up again

Also finally got round to fitting the fan override switch, just need the led to let me know when it cuts in smile

In bits at the moment, im hoping to take it to the engine tuners to have them look over all the bits and let me know what ill have to change, ie rings and rebore plus skims of the heads and block, still it looks prity cool to have a look inside the engine and see what was going on.
Will let you all know how i get on.

It's an optional extra - only fitted to some wedges..
Was it a further option to have it actually work then ?

Good luck with the non starter..

Keep up its working now ! Just been for a blast round Reading smile

As for the interior light I think it would work if I re engineered it along with the door switches yikes
