I need to mount my flapper afm remotley and am looking for some suitable flexible ducting. Does anyone know where i can buy some, is there anything suitable available from plumbers merchants (air vent ducting and the like) or is that not strong enough?

Cheers
Ben

Ta, i did google it but there are a huge variety of materials and construction types and i thought it would be safer to ask on here than spunk 40 quid on a hose that collapsed or concertinerd the first time i reved the engine.

would this stuff be suitable or is it only for diverting airflow towards a cone filter type stuff?

I would have thought silicone hoses from samco and the like would be ok.

I use a 90 mm bend with no issues of collapsing on my 4.5 feeding plenum to air flow meter

other option is to use some hump hose and solid ali bend.

I think using solid elbows and the like would be very difficult as its an air con equipped car and space is very limited (the alternator is on the left hand side, right where the air filter usually sits).

Nice engine bay btw, wish mine was that clean biggrin

Nice cloud9

some questions

- Does this fit without moving the AFM
- Where did that filter come from it's a lot bigger than the tiny K&N I have ?

You have to angle the AFM down a few degree's so you will need to drill 2 new holes or covert 2 of the existing to slots.

I made a new Ali bracket.

The air filter is a K&N I'm measure it when I can, but will be a few weeks, as going to be very busy witth the racer.
K&N do a very large range, just have a look at there site.
