wedge 350i, when i pull up or stop, engine cuts out, checked oil pressure and oil both spot on. As i stop the low oil pressure light comes on then cuts out, could it be the oil pressure switch.
Any help would be gratefull. Thank you jonny..

I think this can happen a lot on older Rover V8 engines at idle. As pressure drops to 6 or 7psh and thats about when warning lights come on
As long as pressure goes up when engine revs then should still be ok

Adjust the idle speed to 1,000 rpm.

Agree, only needed 900 rpm on mine which is a standard 3.5.
And oil pressure on the gauge is assuringly above 1bar (continental wedge so no psi) as well, all the time, even when the engine is hot.

If it doesn't cure it, then would advise to replace the oil pressure relieve spring. When still original it won't be that fresh anymore. Would not advise to install a spring with higher tension to up the oil pressure, it is not required and can cause a high rate of wear on the oilpump drive gear on the distributer shaft which isn't good - especially when the whole setup stops functioning....

The stalling is not because of low oil pressure .. as others have said - increase / check tickover is 900 ~ 1000 rpm then check hot oil pressure.
