see attached pics.

Please give me your honest opinions

- Sorry Mr. Tank....I don't mind either personally...but here's a guy that might buy it off you, or give you an SEAC tray if you fancy being really flash. smile

Not certain if a Whale tail would suit! also would slow me down! (That should open a can of worms!)

I don't know why TVR bu99ered around with it, the original bumpers looked best to me. That thing looks like they got a Japanese stylist in, it's far too fussy for a wedge. Bloody good job it hasn't got a spoi... oh, hang on... wink

Tank, it's your car, do what you will! Just depends on how you're trying to 'market' it: it's either an original 350i or it's not. If you put a SEAC wing on it some folk would snigger, others would say it looked OK, but either way we all know it wouldn't be 'original' even if the factory fitted it some years later (which in the case of that 400 plank it would have had to have been).

If you're pushing it as a very tidy personalised wedge then leave the plank on, at least it's 'correct' for the series. But don't be too surprised if people with bushy beards, bobble hats and anoraks come along and lecture you hehe For the record, I may have a cagoule but no anorak, beard or hat. wink

I think if I'd gone to the lengths you have, I'd be aiming to make it as close to how it left the factory as possible. I'm pretty sure that most prototypes or 'first of type' cars are worth more that way.

I think on yours you need no spoiler, as think the SE spoiler only suits the later cars

Was the plank an option on the early cars ? How about some sort of lip spoiler like the zender ones ?

My ears are burning lol.

I also think earlier wedges look better with no spoiler, mine ( a 1990 400se ) has no spoiler at the moment and I dont hate it. Thought I would.

My new SE spoiler is being made by TET as I type so in a week or so mine will be filled, sprayed and fitted and back to how it looked out of Blackpool.

The SEAC wing is in the shed in case my ironing board breaks or we have snow.

Will need a new screen name too !

Both look good, but without just adds to the smooth body line... i think!

Though mine has one, I agree with Matt; makes the car look cluttered IMO...and probably does bagger all. smile

I can't work out if I want one or not on my 350 either, unfrotunately I've got far too many repairs to do before I get to thinking about fun stuff.

Looks better with a spolier .. the zender probably suits your car best IMHO.

With spoiler for me... though to be honest i don't mind either. Far to political! wink

Actually some guy recently (on his 15th pint) said my car was gorgeous but the spoiler is fking st! hehe

Each to their own, but...just to be clear. Spoiler on later cars definitely. The earlier versions look better without.
