I was searching for as much info as I could find regarding body removal for my wedge when I
stumbled across this: http://www.performance-car-guide.co.uk/tvr-wedge.h... It had
come up as a search result, so I followed the link. The website lists various wedges and has
pictures for the various models. For the 390SE, they featured mine, shown at car shows during my
period of ownership. smile Thanks to previous owners TLC all I had to do was wash it off before the show.

Hi Mike: So by the looks of things you must have found another job. Good for you. So when and where are you starting the body lift??? Is it going to be a long summer working on the car??? Been there, done that. I have the Spousal Units car in High River being plastic blasted and painted. The 5 speed automatic come out half decent but I think it still needs something but Sherry is happy driving it as is. Mine is out on Dunbow road getting soda blasted and painted. ( We did an old school Vixen hood with a 79 Z28/Heavy Chevy twist.) We just about have the machine shops Boo-Boos fixed as I bought a new 302 Boss block to start over. Todd has the engine just about finished but he still has to get the heads on the Flow bench to do his magic. We played with the engine on the supercharged 2500M and put a Toyota Supra 5 speed in and then dynoed it. It has 130 HP at the rear wheels, while an average TR6 engine has 106 HP at the flywheel. Daughter is going to have fun with that car this summer. That car maybe going to Bieseker to be sanded and painted. So the cars are going to be spread out for paint as not 1 shop could do 2 cars. Keep me informed on when and where you are starting on your car and good luck with it.

Wayne/Sherry Leppard.

I also like the you-tube link to our own 'TrickieDickie's 400SE run at my local drag race track. smile

We were both there with our cars at Easter.

Hi Wayne. Yeah I found some work thank God! It's not as much work as I would like
but then again only working 3 or 4 days a week gives me more time to actually get this
done. I was about 2 days from selling the wedge when employment finally came through.

I don't plan on it being a summer long job since I really don't need much for parts.
A welding rod or two is 90% of my needs, although I do have to track down right and left
leading links with the associated bushings and such. I also need one bracket/bush for my
sway bar. I better get in touch with Marshall pretty soon.

As for the actual lift, I'm planning on a one month turn around time maximum. A friend is letting
me use his garage in return for helping him drywall and insulate it. We'll have that done sometime this
weekend so I'm hoping to get going on the car the following weekend. Lucky for me his garage is well stocked
with a compressor and pneumatic tools, hoists, jackstands, creapers plus all the other tools one usually
doesn't need like gear-pullers. I'll have the proper tool for every job. smile

With a little luck I'll see you at the High River car show this year.

How much is the plastic blasting and paint going to set you back?

What times did you guys run?

When I first got my car I took it to the track and ran a disappointing 15.4 @ 88mph. frown

Well, have to say I was VERY slow off the line as I was rather sleepy that day hehe
I managed a best quarter of 14.9 at 92mph...shortcomings entirely mine not the car's .

Trickie looked a lot faster, and embarrassed a Tuscan on one run. smile

Just a bit of fun really though. I certainly wasn't going to destroy my clutch or UJs for the sake of a split second.

I think it's the overtaking and hillclimbing abilities on the road that makes the car so enjoyable.

Here's a link to our TVR competition at York:

Turn up the volume and enjoy biggrin (we were virtually all first-timers).

Hi Mike: I won't be at High River this year as I'm taking Todd's trailer and the 78 Taimar to Woodwork. Will be gone for a month but leaving the kids here. Got over $7000.00 in the paint so far but that is on all 3 cars. Mine is upper end, Sherry's is going to be above average and the supercharged 2500M that you drove in is just going to be a standard sand and paint job. What part of town you going to do the lift?? Parts for a Wedge shouldn't be too hard to obtain from Marshall but I would order as soon as possible as you never know. I have had parts sitting at Todd's since last December as I wanted to make sure that we had them when needed. Will talk later.

Why not drive it if you don't mind me asking? Mmmm Woodwork, almost as much fun as wedgefest, lol, can you stuff me in the boot? I'm small. biggrin

I'll be doing the lift in Penbrooke/Forest Lawn. Now that I've finally secured good working space I can get down to it. smile
As for parts, I stopped by Todd's shop today and ordered everything I needed, that I know of so far. Whether or not they can
get them in for me is another matter, but I can't see two leading links and a sway bar bushing from a Cortina being insurmountable.
A little time, a little patience and a little deposit will tell. I have faith in Todd though.

Do you still have the number for the guy out by Bragg Creek with the 2500M? If I can make it by fall we should have a local
TVR meet and cruise. smile

Mike: Not driving to Woodwork as it is going to be over 7000 miles the way i'm going. Calgary/Toronta/Virginia/Woodwork/Virginia/Kentucky/North Carolina/Calgary at the moment. It may change though. That guy sold the 2500M but I know who bought it. There is another Wedge in town (280i). Where you in the back of Todd's shop as my 2500M is still there. He has some nice stuff there right now. I will be at the shop Thursday sometime if I go into town. I'm trying to retire at the moment and just putting small hours in at the moment. Trying to talk my guys into taking over but not having alot of success unless I finance them. I bought a new 09 GMC diesel to pull a trailer and if I don't mind doing it, then I am buying a single or double for myself. Will talk later.

Wayne, do you know the guy with the 280i or have you just seen it around town?
I would be interested in calling him up and asking If I can come over to have a
peek at it, and possibly borrowing his wedge bible if he has one.
