Hi All,

Havent been on here much recently, mainly due to the fact that the wedge is locked up 50 miles away from home at the moment as we are in between houses and staying with family!

Anyhow, wonder if you can help..

On some occasions, on cold (and sometimes 'cool/warm') start, it runs really badly and isnt the type of misfire which clears after a while. It did it the other week and all i did was stop and re start a couple of times and it then ran perfectly.

I am assuming that it might be the auto choke getting confused - is there a sensor for this somewhere??

Any help much appreciated!

Cheers guys thumbup

If you suspect the auto enrichment then a simple fix is to unplug the connector on the injector going into the plenum.

Hi Adam - How you doing?

OK, so is that what the 'choke' is based upon?

Hi Matt,

The injector on the side of the plenum, is a cold start injector, everyone I know disconnects it as its just not needed in this country. there's also a EAV (extra air valve) and cold start sensor (the big one) that also add enrichment on cold start. also there is a idle bypass on the AFM, all these can affect the mixture.

Matt - it's probably a loose wire somewhere .. if it's running OK sometimes and not others.

OK Leigh, i will give it a try...when it happens ill disconect the sensors and see if there is a difference!

Rev - Its not a connection as once its running perfectly it will drive all day without a problem!
