should be a large hose going fomr the plenum ( 3 - 4 inch) , and normally at the end of it is the air flow meter (flapper or hotwire) with a multi plug

Or at the other end of the air filter you will find said flapper

so the flapper is not actually bracketed or bolted to anything then?

Normally bolted down to a braket on the inner wing.

On a standard 350 / 400 normally on passenger side on arch by front wheel with airfilter pointing towards the rad

On some Seacs and converted models they sometimes come striaght out of the plenum on a shorter hose and in place of the header tank with the header tank moved further along the bulkhead

My jag afm is tiewrapped in to the original flapper bracket with an 18 inch filter chucked on the end that again tiewrapped to the front by the rad to stop movement smile
