17 inch borbets with so2's!!

Finally i've got them! 17 inch borbet wheels with new bridgestones so2's which makes my 350 S2 drive like a dream and look much better than with the standard wheels! Had uniroyal tires (15 inch) before and had a few scary moments in the lake district on some wet single roads. I do like a good slide but on a 30% steap single road... Now i've fitted the bridgestones and the traction is just awsome!!

Hmm, Borbet make some nice wheels but be careful. 17" should give you better grip on smooth dry roads but the standard 15" should be better on rough or wet roads. A picture would be nice. Jonathan

Congratulations, i have 17" Borbets on my wedge, see here for photos [www.mickbarrett.com/Vehicles%20Gallery.htm] . I have found it tracks slightly on rough or tramlined roads, especially in the wet but i have never driven a standard wheeled wedge for long enough to tell the difference.
Can't wait to get mine back from TVR, missed it lots over the last 2 months or so.

Hi there Mick,

looks very nice, but i've seen your car lots of times before, cause your site is on my computer in the favourite section! When i was searching for a wedge about a year ago i ran into your site and would have friends look at it to see if they liked the wegdes. I bought my wedge in november last year and kept dreaming of a pair of nice 17 inch wheels like the ones you own and a friend of mine (Hans Daalhuizen) has on his 350i in 16 inch. Well a few weeks ago he suddenly appears at my house and says 'you wanted the borbets didn't you? Here they are!'. So i bought them and when i fitted them the car got a totally different (IMHO much better look). Will try to post a pic of my car but i have to make a digital one first.
