Read everybody's comments on how to take off the manifolds o/s hardest side we had no problem with it , cleaned it up, new gaskets then back on. N/s started taking everything off except one friggen bolt been tightened so hard it won't budge, that was 2hrs sat afternoon, 2hrs on sunday now we're going to try and get it with the air chisel tonight. My mates 390 is different again. So thanks for all the info.
cheers jonny..

I hate to say this .. but do up all the other bolts .. and that will take a lot of the pressure off the other nut/bolt.

It's a bit of a golden rule - loosen everything 1/2 turn before starting removal.

Another good tip, is to tighten a bit 1st, sounds stupid, but it breaks the seal, plus it puts load on the other side of the nut, so if you do slip, you don't round the side used to undo, if that makes sense. also your not trying to use the rusty part of the bolt.

Look on the bright side - at least there's still a thread you can use in the cylinder head ;^)

Make sure the manifold surfaces are flat and got a good mating surface, as they can get very bad, and will start to blow again in no time.
