sump connection

does anyone know what the elecrtical connection on a plug on the sump of my 350 is for and where it connects to I have searched and can't find a connection in the loom near it,it is situated at the top of the sump on the off side it has 2 wires leading into a round connecting plug have looked at 2 other wedges that ar within hearing distance of me they don.t have this on there sumps any ideas out there

It's for the Rover SDi Vitesse, the sump plug is also an engine oil level sensor, and you can theoretically connect up to a warning light on the dash. The 350i engine is pretty much a stock Rover SDi lump, you see.
