Is it possible its to ramp the floor up to go over part of the chassis?

I believe the seats sit "in the chassis" rather then ON it in a wedge.

I might be wrong.....someone on here will definately know.

If this is not what you mean maybe a picture of the ramp would help us advise you?

The "ramp" seems to be a GRP trim that hides the back edge of the foot well carpet and makes the fixing's a swine to get at without removing the seat.

I'm not sure but it may cover up something else, mine are still fitted but a bit erm bent whistle

I think they were just a finishing piece to give it a slightly richer look and hide the rear edge (and plastic fixing pins) of the floor carpets. May have had something to do with the carpet cut.

FYI - In my front foot wells, the carpet roll down onto the floor a couple of inches but the center is unpainted (light tan) fiberglass. Don't look like carpet was ever glued there.

It's to make sure your dropped ciggy rolls back into view so it doesn't just burn away and get wasted. thumbup
