East Anglian drive up to BBWF

I was thinking of leaving the Cambridge area around 9am therefore getting to Blackpool for lunchtime. Anyone else up for that?

Could catch the Southern lot up on the way, eh... ;^)

i would love to go in a convoy of wedges ,as since ive had mine for 3 yrs now only ever seen 2 other wedge on the road,both times i was in me works van,typical.when are you looking at the sat morn,def up for it.

As long as we (the Mrs & I) can extend our accommodation at the hotel to include the Friday night then yes I'd be interested in travelling up in convoy!

I am planing on going up on Friday but not so early, have to finalise timings with the wife!
O! and check with work (Tomorrow) that I am having the Friday off!

So if you can leave Cambs say at 10.00 I could meet you at Brampton Hut at 10.30 !

Yeah I can handle that, we plan on leaving at 9 but are usually at least an hour late getting away - 9 is what I tell the wife ;^)

I'll check out where to gas up on the way - I'm sure I can't get 300 miles out of a tank - or at least not with enough spare for some caning on the prom.

OK Sainsbury's Wigan does Super Unleaded at 98.9 - barrrrgin! Only add 3 miles to the journey. Actually it's only 228 miles to Blackpool but it still might leave me a little dry - and it'll be a good point to stop for the loo etc.

240 will be pushing it I think.

That's one of my teething problems, the gauge reads OK but the car runs out when it gets to just over 1/4 full. Not done a long run of more than 50 mile yet, so the trip to Blackpool will be fun in more ways!

I used to get 280 miles out of the 350i, cruising at 85, but not the 400SX I don't think!

I carry a gallon in the back for emergencies, but then again I used it once and only got another 4 miles!!!

We can stop and stick the spare gallon in if necessary.

Andy - just remembered you are coming from Stives so shall we pick you up on the A14? In which case we can leave Sawston about 9:30. There's a place you can pull off the A14 just after the A1 roundabout, we could meet there?

just been confirmed were now leaving stowmarket,on the fri morning where would be the best place to meet up with the rest,cant wait,all booked up and ready to roll,stowmarket is ipswich side of bury st eds to anyone who aint heard of it,the film deliverence is a clue,lol.
