Hi y'all,
2 questions, 1st..where can i get the TVR badges on the V8 engine as mine are missing??
2ndly, lets talk bhp and torque! What do our wedges put out? 280i, 350i, 390, 400, 420, 450, sausage egg and chips?? Is a 350's power about 195ish and 400se 275ish? How come such a big difference when all we are talking about is 500cc?
I know cam's are differnet..is that it?
Anyone got graphs
Apologies if discussed before

Wayne.

Well a 400se aint got 275bhp and thats for sure! More like 230ish on a good day, and some as little as 210. I'm hoping for 245 - 255 following my rebuild and subtle upgrades. The Monster SEACs probably get close to 300bhp, and some may be giving more following upgrades.

Try RT Racing (01142 817597) and Leven Technology (01664 481065) - Streaky

The last engine in my 400SE ( the origional ole was dyno'ed at 308bhp, equating to aprox 230 - 240 at the wheels.
Not sure of the new engines output, but am expecting to see 260ish (or 330 - 340 at the flywheel)

Well, my 280i has the same Ford lump in it that used to be in the old XR4s, and those used to put out 150BHP. I think they're tweaked a bit in the wedge, and produce between 150 and 160 BHP. Not as much as the big boys, but it gets me moving!

Power graph on mine says 222 bhp (239 lbs torque) at 5373 rpm, but I've never been sure whether this was flywheel power or at wheels. Its a Power Engineering graph.

Mine was never dyno'd after its rebuild, not enough time due to house move etc, my choice. So all I know is it is very rapid. There is a guestimate for it but hey...brown stuff off the shovel and same to a blanket etc. And I have had death threats so it seems ok
