They do point inwards a little bit anyway. Easy thing to check first is if the spring platforms can be adjusted, get the rear sitting a little higher = the suspension will then effectively be swung down a bit and the camber will reduce.

Jack up the rear of the car a little bit first and you'll see what I mean.

raised platform 5turns or an inch also adjusted front shocks to 3/4 its handling better but on motorways at 75+ it seems to wander all over the place its hard work keeping in a straight line any ideas ?

"They all do that sir"? ;^)

Do you find it's bad on a rutted motorway but on a nice new road it's fine?

Yes, especially likely on the inside (truck) lane.

My non-PAS 280 was much worse for this tramlining, on ALL roads, even with new suspension, whereas the present car doesn't seem to do it.

Maybe there is some more adjustment needed. Also tyre make and pattern may contribute.

tyres are new on rear Nexen isymetrical soft compounds and fronts are nearly new nakangs so may try the falkens on old wheels wonder do 225/50/15 cause any added problem tho old wheels were 205/60/15's drove it with tyes that came with se wheels i put on they were225/s they were some make no one had heard of! that was before rear end rebuild and had started going hard hence replacing rears for fresh tyres

Aaah idea

When you say 'new' tyres on the back...are they scrubbed in yet ?

It's pretty well known (and certainly happened on my 390 with new rear Toyos) that handling can be a bit 'interesting' on new shiny rubber. Then all comes right.

I thought 280s had 14" wheels as standard, with 205/60 tyres. Mine did anyway.

Wider wheels/tyres will certainly magnify any tendency to tramline .
