Try messing with the multiplug connectors 1st as they have a tendancy to do this. They're behind the door card at the front/bottom. You could also give the motor a tap if that doesn't work! If that doesn't work swap the switches over to see if that's the issue but be warned that they're a swine to unplug.
P.S. All this assumes that you've checked the fuse?

Steve, I had the same problem with the car about six months after I got it. Thought I had solved it back then! If it's the same problem, the window mechanism gets stuck at the bottom of of the cycle. As far as I remember, the toothed part which is moved by the motor has one tooth at the end of the run (when the glass is at the bottom) which is bent over (presumably done at the factory) and the whole thing jams up when the motor runs up against this. I tried filing it off to smooth it and I thought it had worked, as I had no further problems with it. Hope this is helpful. Still missing the car! Good luck.

Mark, good to hear from you , and that you are keeping an eye on the wedge world ! I gave the window solenoid another sharper 'tap' with a lightish hammer as per Wyn's instructions and .. it imediately responded thank goodness ! Have not had a problem before this . As for the blue seac herself I know what you mean about missing her , she is a very special Tvr IMHO !
