Yes and no. depends and how you do it. I found choice of rubber makes a big difference. The SO3's (2's?) were superb in the wet when putting the power down.

The short answer is YES !
But agree the right tyre chioce helps, the good news is if you have the wrong tyres, they dont last long !!
