Martin Lilley and Howard Bryan (White Elephant) judged the concours competition and both said the standards where very high but two cars in particular managed to raise the bar to another level, David Bruce with his 350 FHC and Andy Hutcheson with the first ever built 350 convertable, both cars where in pristine condition and superbly presented, the judges deliberated for quite some time before awarding 1st place to Andy's metallic green convertable and runners up position to Davids FHC.
Both cars are in stunning condition and a credit to their owners

I was truly bowled over by those superb cars, and the incredible lengths to which the owners had gone to in their search for originality and perfection.

I took photos, but most simply could not reproduce the excellence of workmanship, so I didn't post them.

Well done guys. bow

I spotted something strange on Andy's immaculate car though - an odd union nut in the middle of a brake line - but I kept schtumm as I was parked next door! Care to explain what that's all about Andy?

Well spotted Adam
That was my deleberate mistake!
Well thats what I claim!

In fact what happen was I fitted a small union instead of the larger size. Relised my mistake, but forgot to remove the small union before I fitted the larger one. OPPS!!!!!!!!

I was intending the cut it in half to remove it but forgot with all the other things I needed to do!

Will remove it soon!

I assumed it was because the factory did that on the original car ;^)
