Hi on the drivers side footwell at about calf level is a large bolt and a washer any one know what this attatch's is it a body mounting fitting any idea thanks chaps.

Sounds like the attachment for the chassis plate , could have been altered for anchoring straps or roll bar .You could take a pic and put it on here then we would be more sure .

Hi

Does sound like the bolt one of the chassis plates fixing bolts to me! It may be the one which also holds the door hinge piller.
