Yes Rimmer Brothers do a poly bush kit for the remote linkage. I've got them on the Racer and GSX has got them on his 450 also.

Oops. hehe

I think the ad is very well written.

I wonder if the power is at the wheels or flywheel. scratchchin BIG difference. Mine produces one more pound of torque. biggrin

I wonder what the alum flywheel gains? (at the wheel) I went from 28lbs to 12 on my 7's flywheel and it made a really big difference. It's a bit spastic, jerky like at low speeds but with v8 torque it might be livable.

I found your post, 230 at the fly for 195 at the wheels is a slightly lower driveline loss. Lets face it though it is power at the wheels that counts smile

The timing on this car has only been given a basic set up, the RR session was just a power run really. A bit of tweaking would probably liberate more, getting it set up with a Mark Adams chip may help as well. Most of the work on the car been focussed on reliability and driving feel hence the uprated radiator, arb links and brakes etc.

In case you are wondering I have helped Mike out with most of the work on this car which is why I know it quite well.

A lighter flywheel produces the same amount of power.

It's just lets the engine rev quicker.

Hi,

Use to own this car, wrote it off in 1994 after a big accident.
TVCC register updated, obviously not of interest to the insurance company

My first TVR + wet road + pretty girl at bus stop + slick man-hole cover

x

big tank-slapper + foot off loud-pedal

=

Total write-off + 3 parked cars + rear spoiler (later found 100+ ft away)

I was twonker ! (i understand the car was rebuilt after purchasing it from insurance company by a Mr H*pb*rn september 1994)

I know that, but in theory wouldn't you still get more at the wheels since there's lower parasitic loss?

Thanks for posting this, I'll let Mike know so it will not come as a surprise to anyone checking the TVRCC register.

Whoever fixed it did a damn good job, was the damage all bodywork, i.e Cat D? I am not sure if anything from that long ago would have made it onto hpi.

At least if you know who bought it then it is all above board and it is up to any potential buyer to check the car out for themselves as always. The mods are not going to appeal to someone looking for an all original car anyway so hopefully the current condition of the car will be what is important to them.

Why the roll eyes?.....
It was the closest I could see to an embarassed 'I didn't know that look'
If of course, if they self explained, as on other sites, I may not have made an error...
Roll eyes is 'Looking at', interesting.
But I'll remember!

I don't have any pictures of the damage, but kerridges did the insurance assessment
at the time. They estimated > 12K , so the insurance company wrote it off.

Full body shell, (front & rear , bonnet, wing , front light pods etc...)
Drivers doors & window
both mirrors
2 wheels + tyres
rear exhaust
radiator
Windscreen
both rear light clusters
Rear wishbones (bent)
Front offside wishbones (bent)
.......

About three months after the write off, Mr H*pb*rn (current owner can check this on V5 document) called me to check vehicle history. I told him what had happened , what work had previouslt been done
and he said he was brought the wedge as a write-off and was doing a full body off restoration. He posted a few pictures when he sold it on (I think on there was a dedicated wedge site a few years back ?). If anyone wants more info, just email
