Looking at changing the fuel pipes at the weekend after seeing the pics of the burning red wedge and noticed that the swirl pot is a bob of rust, any ideas where the best place to get one quick would be ?

Cheers

Tricky, breakers want SILLY money for them. You could probably get a fabricator to make you an ally one if you cant get an ally one off the shelf.

Its always worth a call to Neil at TVRcarparts too.

I just renewed my entire fuel delivery system today and I too had a rusty swirl pot. I bought a bottle of CLR and let it sit in the pot for about 5 minutes then dumped it. It was quite dirty and rusty looking after the first wash, but when I dumped it the second time there was no rust to be found. smile I rinsed it out with water, blew it out with an air comppressor and painted it. Good as new for $2 and a roach.

I've had 2 that have rusted though.

Got one braised back up. but ideally you want to fit an Ali one. RT racing or Steve Heath should be able to get you one. they in the £100 range inc Post and Vat.

Also the Ali ones don't have a pre-filter, so your need one of them also, else you pump will not last long.

Replaced mine with an RT version earlier this year:
