My mate brought round the Innovate LM2 we purchased between us so we have had a bit of a play with the 400....

So having poked the WBO2 up the drain pipe and stuck the power cable into the cig lighter using masking tape the initial test runs all showed she was running lean, AFR 16 cruise 17.5 @ WOT (yikes), a quick tweak on the fuel pressure reg and we had dropped it to around 15.5 cruise / 14.8 @ WOT, a final tweak has 14.7 when cruising / part throttle and 13.8 @ WOT - spot on.

The difference is erm scratchchin noticeable, I always wondered what all the fuss was about, now I WILL need to be careful in the wet !

Just checked the fuel pressure after tweaking and we are now up at 50psi, I read somewhere that this is about as far as you should go before the injectors start dribbling can anyone confirm ? I have a bosch pump which has a stall pressure of 75 psi, and it's a non rising rate reg.

Overall £150 and a couple of hours on some back roads (private obviously !!) well spent cloud9

Hi Simon, I run with 50psi, no dripping injectors (Bosch Jag type) just keep an eye on any of the fuel line joints around the engine bay especially the short pipes on the fuel rail that feed the injectors, as these may start weeping.

Cheers Tony,

I read someone else (I think it was the long running "Fuel pressure" thread) was running 50psi on a 390SE.

Pressure gauge holds up OK when the pump stops so I don't think there are any problems, as you say could be worth replacing the injector hoses as a precaution.

Who was it had the pressure caps a BBWF look like I need one !

Ta,

While stopped at the roadside making adjustments I figured out why the header tanks always empty, just before the fan cuts in it chucks water all over the place, gave Pete a bit of a shock as he was at that side of the car when it erupted eek luckily the LM-2 and Pete both survived !

I'll PM Adam, was going to buy one at BBWF but thought "nah it's ok"... guess it's not...
