I'm very interested in buying a 400SE reg'n G352TGH - its a mid-blue colour with magnolia hide (including over centre console panel).

Trouble is its about 5 hours away to Great Yarmouth from where I live in Dorset rolleyes

Any assistance much appreciated,

Chris

Sounds like the one I went to have a look at, this was the first wedge I looked at and was very tempted, however I then checked out a couple more and decided against it.

Also the test drive didn't go well and after deliberation I walked away, TBH I still prefer the colour to the Mica Blue I bought but you can't have everything wink

Have a look here
Interesting part is from the bottom of page 1, please note that this was last November so things may have changed.

I also have some photos somewhere if you want them or any more info pm me....

Simon

thumbup Thanks B@man - that's the car - I love colour of it which is what really caught my eye and cosmetically it seems in pretty good condition.

Sounds like the test drive was a disaster - I would have walked away too. From speaking to the owner the issues you had are still there, but at least it seems the chassis is sound which was my main concern. For sale now just under £4k which seems a fair price considering the issues. The bendy bonnet and wings is weird, I've never heard of that before - wondering if its had a knock at the front at some point.

I think I'm probably better hanging on to my trusty 350i (especially as I've recently had adjustable gaz shocks, polybushes and new mohair hood fitted) - it just sailed through its MOT for the 3rd year in succession last week which can't be bad.

Thanks again,

Chris

It doesn't sound too odd, just someone who's replaced the struts with one which are too strong. If the car had been in an accident then the bonnet and wings would have cracked, not bent - no question. I posted quite a bit on the thread that Batman linked to. Everone states on here just find one with a good chassis then when they do ... Why not decide what it would be worth to you, subtract the cost of repairs and make an offer?
