Sad to say, I'm starting to feel my age and have decided to get an old Moggy thou or something similar to potter about in until my bus pass comes through.

The old girl is in classifieds, so if anyone is looking for a sorted and well-documented car just in need of some cosmetics, then look no further. frown

Graham,

What's the matter 'feeling my age'?

I'm 53 going on 21 and a recent convert to wedge ownership.

Keep the car dammit.

Behave Graham
I`m 50 with a triple bypass and still thrashing the 450Se to within an inch of its limiter whenever I can.
Its way too soon for a zimmer frame or a Prius FFS!

Aah I knew this wouldn't be easy guys. whistle

As you'll all know, owning a Wedge isn't just about the car.

Over the past 5 years and 3 Wedges I've come to know some lovely people, and the hardest part is possibly losing contact with the wonderful Wedge fraternity.

Well, she's still tucked up in the garage out of the bloody pouring rain rolleyes.

Maybe it'll be like the dog's home and no-one will want her, so this may take a while.

I didn't realise there were so many old duffers like me on here though. hehe

Lordy, I feel positively spring-chickeny at 45 hehe

Graham, I though the whole point of middle-aged mortgagelessness was to blow your wad on something frivolous?

Keep hold of it and when you eventually pop yer clogs you can be buried in it wink
Recycling and cost saving. I've always said the Wedge is better for the environment than a eurobox.
That's my plan. Currently at the tender age of 40.

Ian...I always thought you were much older than that...well in grumpiness terms anyway. rofl

Don't you think an old STEEL classic car is frivolous ?
Think of all that expensive bodyfiller and welding every other week. eek

Anyway, got to save up for my mail order bride cloud9... and that IS expensive. irked

Bodyfiller? BODYFILLER?! That's sacrilege. You'd better be lead-loading those ripples, or don't you DARE show your face at the Moggie owner's club meets or the beardy-weirdies with creases in their jeans and a selection of briars in their leather-elbowed tweed jackets will punt you out of the car park, sharpish.

Yes, I do a mean line in grump, I'm far too cynical for my own good. Fundamentally, everything is sh!t. hehe

It seems like a lot of wedgers are of a mature age,and some are extra mature (myself included)but I think Graham is suffering from a lack of sunshine, nothing more serious,he has not mentioned Morris dancing which is a far worse condition than Morris thousand so hopefully a couple of good days and a visit to Tatton park next month will sort the young man out.(worst I`m an old geezer reply ever?)smile

YOU CAN'T DO IT GRAHAM!!!!!!

There are already too few Wedgers in Yorkshire and even less of those who play out in them

Get your name down for the Leeds Tunnel Run on the Yorkshire Forum
and we can blow away whatever the grotty weather may be that day
with those lovely V8 Wedge sounds, before running onto the car event
later that day.
(all cloak & dagger re dates so we don't invite "the Boys in Blue" on the Tunnel Run)

See you at Harewood on SUNday in the Wedges?
