That last snapped cylinder head bolt that I talked about before is never going to move. Tried heat, +gas the lot. Does anyone know If I remove both engine mounts and jack the engine up as far as possible considering the transmission tunnel clearance, is it possible to get decent access to the head for drilling. Its the bottom right bolt looking at the engine from the drivers side.

Many thanks

You could try it: IIRC there's a brace across the tunnel that limits how high the engine will lift (and it's not as high as it looks like it ought to!).
When I had similar problems, I ended up taking the head off. Then I found the scored bores and broken rings...

£800, all because some arsepipe stripped some threads.
