Is it a "standard" starter on a 280i?

I have been trying to find out if the starter on the ford V6 used in the 280i wedge is a standard ford part, i.e. is it the same as used on the ford capri etc?

If it isn't can someone suggest what the correct part number and source are?

I might need one for my newly aquired wedge.

It wasn't an oddball my alt/starter shop couldn't rebuild. I'd go that route if you can find a shop locally.

The entire engine/ gearbox and fuel system was bog-standard Ford, TVR weren't getting their hands dirty at that stage...

Thanks for the input guys, I checked out the price of a "new" part and think a refirb might be the way to go IF its needed I'll know later tonight.
