Guys
Does any one know what the pitfalls on engine swopping with DVLA and MOT currently are ?
I am swopping a small block Ford 4.7 for a standard 3.5 efi.( 350 Wedge )
In the past you just had to notfiy DVLA of a log book change and insurance but we got seriously caught out on a number plate transfer issue recently and I just know that there is probably a new procedure / issue which involves a headache !!
Any help would be appreciated.

You just have to tell them the new CC and the engine number.

It should be a free (no ££££) change.

You will need written evidence of the new engine number from a garage, even if you did all the work!

Wow, you actually need permission?

And to think my "freedoms" came from your Magna Carta... Britain dropped the freedom ball a long time ago.

As long as you can pass emissions testing here (not applicable in my province though) you can put in any engine you like.
