280i Valve Clearances

Does anyone know the settings for the valve clearance setting for this engine?

As memory serves they are:

Valve clearance ford cologne 2.8 v6 0.4 mm for exhaust valves and 0.35 for inlet

Yes, that's what Haynes give (14 thou and 16 thou for old codgers like me).

They also state that from 1984 different (better?) springs were fitted, and that these can be retro-fitted to earlier engines to reduce tappet noise.
